Message to our customers about possible Home Depot debit card breach

News reports indicate a potential breach of debit card information for customers shopping at Home Depot in recent months. The extent of the breach has not been disclosed by Home Depot. Silver Lake Bank takes all reports of potential fraud seriously and continues to monitor the situation. In the meantime, we encourage you to monitor your accounts and contact SLB immediately if you note suspicious activity on your account by calling any Silver Lake Bank location during business hours. Evenings and weekends, call Transfund’s after-hours hotline at 1.800.791.2525. SLB has not decided to re-issue cards at this point. If you have recently used your debit card at Home Depot and would like a new card as a precaution, please contact us and we will reorder.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

A few Silver Lake Bank customers recently received a pop up message on their computer that we believe is a malware or spyware message scam. It appears to be initiated from www.creditreportnotify.com and asks the recipient to Click Here to access your Credit Reports but says a credit card is necessary to validate your identity. Please note that this notice is not affliated or sponsored by Silver Lake Bank and you should not click on the link. If you should have any questions or concerns, please contact a branch manager or call us at 785.232.0102 or toll free 877.232.0102.
